Born in Scotland, John Barrowman is an actor, musical performer and presenter of great repute on both sides of the Atlantic. 

On television he is known to millions as Captain Jack in the BBC series Doctor Who and Torchwood as well as the American super-hero seris Arrow and Flash. Other acting performances include roles in Reign, Scandal, Titans and Desperate Housewives.

A popular host, John has fronted such shows as; Sing Your Face Off in America, Superstar Dogs, The Small Animal Hospital with John Barrowman, the gameshow Pressure Pad, his own show Tonight’s The Night and the National Lottery Awards on various occasions in the UK. 

John has also proved a welcome addition on the judging panel of Dancing On Ice, a show in which he competed back in 2006. Other judging credits include; How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria and Any Dream Will Do. And who can ever forget his impact in the Jungle on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and his success on Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Show.

On stage , his West End and Broadway credits are many and varied including starring roles in; Anything Goes, Matador, Miss Saigon, Phantom of the Opera and Sunset Boulevard.

Together with his sister Carole E Barrowman, John has completed tow volumes of his autobiography Anything Goes and I Am What I Am.
